NFL Week 6 Thursday Night Football
The NFL Week 6 kicks off with a significant match. On Thursday Night, the Arrowhead Stadium will be the venue as the reigning NFL champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, led by their star quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, face off against the three-time NFL champions, the Denver Broncos.
For Denver, Kansas City has become a thorn in their side. This is because the Chiefs have defeated them in the last 15 encounters. Denver hasn’t beaten Kansas City since that 24-31 game at Arrowhead on September 17th, 2015.
This, of course, impacts the head-to-head record, heavily favoring the Chiefs, who have won 71 out of 126 games against the Broncos, while Denver has maintained 55 victories since 2015.
NFL Week 6 Sunday Night Football
New York will have another exciting encounter between in-state teams. At Highmark Stadium in Buffalo, the Bills will face the New York Giants.
The matchup adds two significant elements. One, which inevitably brings back memories for Buffalo fans, is the painful January 27, 1991, where they lost the first of their four consecutive Super Bowls, precisely against the Giants.
The other aspect will be to see if Buffalo can secure another victory against the Giants, aiming to replicate a back-to-back win against the New Yorkers, something they haven’t achieved since 1996. Let’s recall that on September 15, 2019, the Bills ended a 15-year, 9-month, and 14-day drought of not beating the Giants, thanks to a 28-14 victory at the MetLife Stadium.
The balance is remarkably even. In 14 games, including that Super Bowl XXV showdown in Tampa, both teams have won seven matches each.
NFL Week 6 Monday Night Football
The West Coast of the United States will close out Week 6 when the reigning 2020 NFL champions, the Los Angeles Rams, host the Dallas Cowboys at SoFi Stadium.
The head-to-head record between these two teams, in 37 matches, leans in favor of the Cowboys with 19 victories, compared to the Rams’ 18.
As an additional piece of information, this will mark the fifth game between them on a Monday Night. Three of these, during the regular season, took place at the Rams’ home. This will be the fourth one on the Rams’ turf.
