Week 2 Thursday Night Football
The NFC champions and NFL runners-up, the Philadelphia Eagles, will return to their nest at the Lincoln Financial Field to face the ever-competitive Minnesota Vikings.
The history between both teams is dead even. Out of 30 matches, they have each won 15 encounters. Therefore, this game will be the one to break the tie between the two teams.
As an additional detail, this will be the first time both teams will play in the Thursday Night Football.
Week 2 Sunday Night Football
Foxborough, the legendary stadium in the city of Massachusetts, will once again be adorned in Patriot colors as the New England Patriots host the Miami Dolphins.
The goal for the six-time NFL champions is clear: to reclaim past glories in a post-Tom Brady era. Meanwhile, Miami will strive for another season to revive the old glories of the 1970s and 1980s, during which they reached five Super Bowls. In 2022, they returned to the Playoffs and are aiming for more.
The matchup between both teams is the third most frequent for both the Pats and the Dolphins. In 115 games, the Dolphins hold the edge in the head-to-head series with 60 wins compared to New England’s 55.
Week 2 Monday Night Football
To all you NFL fans who were craving football, well, get ready for some football. NFL Week 2 serves up a special treat with the double headline event of Monday Night Football.
At 6:15 PM EST, at the Bank of America Stadium, the Carolina Panthers will host the New Orleans Saints. Just an hour later, the Cleveland Browns will pay a visit to the Acrisure Stadium to face off against the other Pennsylvania team, the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Sometimes, the beginning of things can find their end at the same starting point, and NFL Week 2 will be a part of that example. This is because NFL Week 2 started in Philadelphia and concludes in Pittsburgh.
By the way, here’s the balance in both matchups. Between Carolina and New Orleans, the Saints lead by a single game (29 to 28) in 57 encounters. On the other hand, the Steelers hold a commanding lead over the Browns in their 143-game history, where Pittsburgh leads 80 to 62 in victories over Cleveland, with only one tie between them.
