After two exciting weeks with thrilling outcomes, NFL Week 3 will kick off, as usual, on Thursday.
The Thursday Night game will feature a classic match-up between the New York Giants and the San Francisco 49ers in the western part of the country, precisely at Levi’s Stadium.
The Sunday Night game will take place in the city that never sleeps. Las Vegas will witness the first of two Sunday Night games of the season as the Raiders host the Pittsburgh Steelers at Allegiant Stadium, home of Super Bowl LVIII.
Meanwhile, Monday Night Football will once again have a doubleheader. First, in Florida, where the two-time NFL champions, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, will welcome the NFC champions, the Philadelphia Eagles. On the other hand, Ohio will be dressed up for the rematch of Super Bowl LVI’s final between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Los Angeles Rams.
Emotions will be running high as the most important American football tournament on the planet, the NFL, continues to unfold.

Week 3 Thursday Night Football
NFL Week 3 will kick off with a matchup as classic as American football itself. The San Francisco 49ers will host the New York Giants at SoFi Stadium.
A rivalry that dates back to 1952, while not frequently clashed, is indeed characterized as a classic duel. Nonetheless, there have been exciting moments that undoubtedly remain in the memories of NFL fans.
Speaking of the matchups, they have only faced each other 42 times, and the rivalry stands even with 21 victories on each side.
Week 3 Sunday Night Football
The Allegiant Stadium will take center stage for the first time on Sunday Night Football, out of the two scheduled. The initial match will feature the hometown team, the Las Vegas Raiders, facing off against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
This venue will also be the site where, on February 11th, the Vince Lombardi Trophy will be awarded to the NFL champion. Sufficient reason for the Raiders to replicate what the Buccaneers achieved in 2021.
The historical record between the two teams spans 31 games since 1970, with the Raiders holding a 17-14 edge over the Pennsylvania-based Steelers.
Week 3 Monday Night Football
Once again, a Monday Night features a doubleheader. The first game will take place in the warm state of Florida, specifically at Raymond James Stadium. The home team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, will square off against the Philadelphia Eagles.
This matchup was eagerly anticipated in Philadelphia, as the last time they faced off at that venue, it was the Tom Brady-led Bucs who eliminated them from contention in the Wild Card round with a 31-15 victory on January 16, 2021.
Overall, the two teams have met 21 times, with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers holding a one-game edge over the Philadelphia Eagles (11 wins to 10). Interestingly, that 2021 Wild Card game gave the Bucs that advantage.
On the other side, we have a matchup worthy of a Super Bowl – and it indeed was one. Two seasons ago, the clash between the Los Angeles Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals was the deciding game for the Vince Lombardi Trophy. An exciting encounter, won by the Rams with a score of 23-20.
In the 15 games they’ve played against each other, the balance tilts towards the Bengals with eight victories to the Rams’ seven, including their most recent meeting in Super Bowl LVI.
As additional details, both teams hadn’t played a Monday night game since the Bengals’ 20-19 win on December 11, 1978. Additionally, the Rams haven’t been defeated by the Bengals since a 31-7 loss on November 29, 2015, back when the Rams were known as the St. Louis Rams.
